Have you already experienced the burning of a scented candle made of soy? Well if you did you probably noticed how good the fragrance was. Indeed it is a matter of fact that soy wax is great conductor of fragrances, thereby creating a superb fragranced candle.
The explanation comes from the chemical properties of the wax made from soy oil. Soy (or soya) wax blends extremely well with the essential oil which contains the perfume or fragrance. In addition, soy candles have a very clean "burn". This means that when a fragranced soy candle burns, it does so without creating the black soot and fumes that can be seen with a paraffin wax based candle. Because the air stays very clean and toxin free, the scent from the soy wax candle diffuses properly and easily, and is not covered by any other odor. A lot of the candles used in aromatherapy are made from soy for this very reason.
